Directions to JDTC
Road/bridge construction in the vicinity of the main gate (Gate 1) will impact traffic flow to and from Fort Eustis. Plan for delays of up to 10 minutes during rush hour periods. Construction is scheduled for completion in June 2015.
Fort Eustis, part of Joint Base Langley-Eustis is located along southeastern Virginia’s James River in Newport News, VA; approximately 1mi west-southwest of Interstate 64.
'Need To Know' Info for attending Training
PLEASE NOTE: Entrance to Joint Base Langley-Eustis may take up to 30 minutes. You will need a DoD Photo ID to enter.
  • Classes begin at 0800 hours daily: please report NLT 0745 hours on the first day of class. For course credit, students must attend all instruction and complete all course requirements.
  • Attire for attending JDTC instruction:
  • Military: ABU, ACU, NWU, CUU, or Flight Suit
  • Civilian: Business casual
  • Security Requirements

    A final US SECRET security clearance is required to attend JDTC instruction (IAW Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction 6731.01B). Interim SECRET security clearances are not sufficient. Please contact the JDTC Registrar with any questions or concerns.
